Sandman Shop's vision is to provide a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience, focusing on simplicity and user satisfaction. The company is aware that there are marketplaces out there that are overly complex and take away from your profits. We wanted our customers to have a straightforward and efficient shopping experience and for our sellers to freely list their products without having unnecessary fees and restrictions.
I was tasked with creating a custom e-commerce website, that is unique and not like any platform out there. I was involved in planning the colors, logo, and layout for the company's branding. Then, I implemented the design using modern web technologies. My responsibility was not just web development, but also contributing to projects like webhooks using JavaScript cloud functions for our TikTok live stream notifications. That involved a lot of system design learning and backend implementation.
